I’m a word junky…

Sometimes I cheat with movies on books and vice versa. But I love them both! Thankfully, I have had the opportunity to be published in several online and print publications. When I have the choice to interview a “celebrity” or an “unknown” I instinctively choose the underdog. That’s who I gravitate towards. These are also the types of characters I like to create.

I published my first book, contra/diction, at the age of 21 when life made ‘oh so much sense’ and co-authored a collection of poetry, essays, and short stories called Lip Gloss & Battle Boots in 2009.

I wrote, directed, and produced my first short film, Downed, in Atlanta, GA. It was one of the most stressful, time consuming things I had ever done, and I LOVED it! Since then I have been “bit” with the bug make films. When film school seemed out of reach, I decided to self study by helping on just about any type of set, from music videos to short films, commercials, and a few features. My “formal training” came from interning at Journey Productions, and taking production classes at Arlington Independent Media (AIM rocks!). Most importantly, I keep writing, and trying to improve on the craft of storytelling. Writing is my love, and seeing my writing “come to life” is my guiltless addiction!
